Few European countries have an odder or more intriguing history than Romania. During the last century, the country’s ruthless dictator, Nicolae Ceausescu, made his fair share of enemies by starving his people while blissfully engorging himself in infamous grand buffets.

Its citizens work arduously – even in the face of widespread government corruption and poverty - as they look toward the future to create a more positive tomorrow for their fellow countrymen.
